How to Change Format of Page Number in OpenOffice / LibreOffice Writer

LibreOffice is a free and open source office suite application software used in Linux and developed by The Document Foundation. LibreOffice contains word processor (Writer), spreadsheet (Calc), presentation application (Impress), drawing application (Draw), formula editor (Math), and database management application (Base). The default file format of LibreOffice writer is .odt (Open Document Text). LibreOffice is an alternate of Microsoft office for Linux.

Similarly, OpenOffice is an alternate of LibreOffice for Windows computer which is also free and open source office suite application software, developed by Sun Microsystem and the first version of open office was released in 2002. OpenOffice also contains word processor (Writer), spreadsheet (Calc), presentation application (Impress), drawing application (Draw), formula editor (Math), and database management application (Base)

In this post you will learn how to insert page number within document in OpenOffice or LibreOffice writer. So let's start.

Step 1. At first you need to select the page number.

Step 2. after that click Format in the menu bar and then click Page. Page Style: Default dialog box opens.

Step 3. Now you need to click 1, 2, 3, ... against Format and then choose the desired format like I, II, III etc.

Step 4. After that click OK to save the changes.
