Sachin Tendulkar The Legend Of The World Cricket

Photo : ndtv
Sachin Tendulkar, Master Blaster, Little Master and so and so. For whom name is sufficient. Master of many world record ended his record breaking 24 years career in International cricket infront of fans at the Mumbai's Wankhede stadium on Saturday where India beats West Indies an innings and 125 runs. It is a great farewell for Sachin from Indian cricket team. Although this is his last cricket he played brilliant cricket and scores memorable 74 runs.

The legend, history maker finally departed from the International Cricket. He is always remembered for his on and off field performance. He is the highest run scorer both in One Day Cricket and Test Cricket. He has created many world records which may be difficult to break for others although records are created for breaking.

Many legends come and many legends went. But no one played consistently like Sachin. Sachin, the Legend of contemporary cricket plays consistently 24 years in the world cricket. He is always remembered for his iconic attitude.

Sachin played his first cricket against Pakistan on 15th Nov, 1989 at the age of 16 where he had scored  28  (6, 0, 4, 6 6 6) runs in Abdul Qadir's one over.

He has broken almost all coveted batting records except Don Bradman's career average of 99.94 and Brian Lara's individual 400 not out runs in Tests cricket and 501 not out runs in the first class cricket. That's why India's first World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev said "Cricket will go on and records will be broken, but there will never be a player like Sachin again."

Who forgets the mammoth partnership of 331 runs created by Sachin & another classic player Rahul Dravid on 8th Nov, 1999 at Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium at Hyderabad where the batting maestros scored 186 runs.

He also became the first batsman to score 100 international centuries. He has played 200 Tests cricket at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium on 15th Nov, 2013 and scored 15,921 runs and 51 centuries in Test cricket. He has played 463 One-Day International cricket and scored 18,426 runs and 49 centuries. Has has also taken 46 wickets in tests cricket and 154 wickets in One day cricket.
