Solved : Scanning Problem in HP LaserJet M433A in Windows 10

HP LaserJet M433A is an All-in-One device which used to print, copy and scan a document. I purchased this All-in-One device recently. After installing the driver of the this device in my pc which is loaded with windows 10 operating systems, I am able to print and copy document without any problem. When I used to a scan a document, I faced "I/O error while communicating with the device" problem and the device was unable to scan.

I tried two three times but problem remain same. I thought there may be problem in installation of HP LaserJet M433A driver. I just then uninstall the driver and reinstall again. Problem still remain same. Every time when try to scan any document I got error message "I/O error while communicating with the device".


After that, I had contacted the HP support centre and the customer care executive informed that this happened due to patch file problem since I am using higher version (windows 10) operating system. The device is only compatible with the lower version operating systems.

After that they just sent me the above link to download and install the patch file for this problem. After that I just download and install the patch file and then restart the system. Once the system is ready, HP LaserJet M433A was able to scan the document with the scan application. This patch file also works in the LaserJet M436A.
